KidsCampus Advisory Board Setup

1. Introduction

A board of advisors is a group composed of business professionals that provides advice on how a business owner can better manage the company.

With the board of advisors setup, CTI KidsCampus has access to independent view and/or “safe” place to discuss issues of major significance which is synonymous to a learning forum.

Dr. Pamela Mulaku, PhDDr. Pamela Mulaku holds a PhD in conservation ecology and entomology from the International Center of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) and Stellenbosch University. She has demonstrated a history of working in International Research Organizations. She is skilled in Remote Sensing Techniques using Google Earth Engine, SNAP and other platforms, Statistical Analysis using R, GIS Analytical Skills, Digital Mapping, Natural Resource Management and HoneyBee Science. She is a strong research professional who is easily integrated into multicultural environments and effectively works in teams.

Sheila Yolanda OdikoSheila Yolanda Odiko is an experienced security governance professional who has transitioned from Firstline / Helpdesk support to Senior Information Security officer with over 20 years work experience as an IT professional. Sheila also has experience in the banking industry (forex) and reinsurance. She has gained experience in Telecommunication Industry as an IT professional and 4.5 years as a team manager

Sheila is specialized in auditing, information security, project management, service desk delivery (ITIL) and general process management. During her years as a manager, her main objective was to manage teams to deliver results.

Betty Akoth OnyandoBetty Akoth Onyando is an experienced Communications Advisor, Project Manager, Public Relations Specialist and Assessment specialist. Betty has over 8 years of diversified experience as a development communication practitioner. She has a proven track record in capacity needs assessment, developing training tools, capacity building, policy and strategy development.

Betty also has extensive experience in Water Resources Management and Renewable Energy. She is passionate about using communication to increase voice, enable meaningful participation, and bring out a critical social change. She is passionate about women and youth empowerment in underprivileged communities.

She is a learner, achiever, developer, team worker, adaptive and well organized.

Peter MuyaPeter Muya is a seasoned ICT practitioner with experience spanning 20 years to date. His experience covers East, West and Sothern Africa and Asia, having had working experience in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Cote D’Ivoire, Eswatini and India providing advisory services in various domains of digital transformation.

He is a certified Master Enterprise Architect from the Open Group. In his work assignments, Peter has received 7 different global awards from the Open Group and iCMG for demonstrating mastery of use of tools and frameworks of solution architecture to deliver outstanding client assignments.

He is also a venture capitalist interested in backing tech-driven solutions that solve problems in Agriculture, Health and Education. He is passionate about mentoring younger generation and currently runs a mentor program jointly with JKUAT which has so far imparted knowledge to over 1,000 students in the ICT undergraduate program with problem solving skills using enterprise architecture frameworks.

He is passionate about transforming the continent of Africa using digital solutions driven by the wealth of knowledge from the younger generation.

Isaac Aluoch AluochierIsaac Aluoch Aluochier has a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading in England and MSc in Project Management from Cranfield University in England. Isaac is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Isaac Aluochier is an arbitrator and adjudicator with experience in both Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and litigation cases covering: constitution, employment, family law, land, politics and succession. He has vast knowledge and experience having worked in the field in Kenya since 2012. He has developed his skills in the legal, construction, financial services, and human relations in over two decades of working in Kenya and the UK.

Robert AyubRobert Ayub holds a Bsc. Science degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and BSc. Computing and Information Systems from London Metropolitan University. He has over 10 years of experience in the telecommunication industry with roles ranging from Software Engineering and Development, Database Administration, Customer Support, Billing and Data Science.

Robert successfully set up a self-organizing Artificial Intelligence group of learners dubbed A4Ayub Hands-On Laboratory with over 200 members where learners diarize, discuss and support each other as they explore the use of AI in different Industries.

CTI KidsCampus Board of Advisors Mandate is to provide guidance and oversight in the areas of:

Content Strategy
This is the plan and process established to support communication goals, ensuring that the content created is appropriate, current, accurate, sustainable and effective.

Structure and Systems
These defines the structures and systems required to execute the strategy with some of the considerations being:
  1. Presentation and Organization – How should the content be presented and connected?
  2. Technology – What requirements should a potential content management system or other publishing platform meet in order to fulfill our communication needs?
  3. Standards Compliance – What are some of the guidelines and standards for content publishing, including style, branding, diversity, and accessibility.

Sustainability & Support
How to get adequate and effective staffing to get the work done. Timing and Skillsets required? What are some of the financial and budgeting requirements.
